Great choice! Perfect and, yes, UNT hired one of its own! Cannot think of a better "new guy" to replace George.

Welcome home Dave! Go Mean Green!

And, this adds to a trend of hiring our own....Jalie Mitchell in athletics and it appears one of our newest university VP's will be an alum as well.

So, great news and maybe we can stop with the "UNT never hires its own" stuff now. Of course, that never was true in fact as you look across the entire university but it made for great fiction. Anyway, now it appears several very high profile university positions will be headed up by UNT grads. Perfect!

Man, just looked him up on wiki. I hope his health is ok. I truly say this as nothing more than reading about that Rangers incident sounds damn frightening to go through.

I'm quite sure that his broadcast partner spiked his water with something to cause that incident.

That guy doesn't like anyone who works with him...

Good hire.

I've always felt the fact that casual sports fans in the area might be more inclined to tune in to a NT broadcast because of their familiarity with Jub's voice. Similarly, Barnett's voice is very familiar to local sports fans.

It is a good hire.

I imagine Dave will do this for 5-8 years.

Which gives S. Bass the perfect window to add some experience to his resume.

With the local talent produced by our RFTV department, I don't see a need to ever hire anything but an alumni for this position.

I don't know why he is still around. He is a real stick in the mud. The Rangers made a mistake by getting rid of Josh Lewin.
