Thirteen players, including five with prior USA Basketball experience, were named Sunday as finalists for the 2011 USA Men’s U19 World Championship Team. The selections, which were made by the USA Basketball Junior National Team Committee, came after three-days, four training sessions, during the USA U19 Team training camp that got underway Friday. The USA squad will look to defend the gold medal won in 2009 at the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship that runs June 30-July 10 in Latvia.

Here's hoping Jordan Williams will land in the World Champ's lap in the 2nd round tomorrow!

Saw Tony at Chicken Express the day before he left for the tryout camp and IT IS definitely UNT's Tony Mitchell.

It would be kind of amazing if the SID was tricking himself about this one with all the releases and updates they've put out themselves.

Listen, if he plays well this summer and in the spring and he's projected as a lottery pick there's no reason he should stay. But in my mind, he'd already have accomplished his goal. Take all the attention from a very young group of players and make it easier for our other fr studs to transition. I'm not worried about our team post Mitchell in 2012-13.
