Very nice interview and Miner Rush has some of the same feelings I do about UTEP's offense - they might be good, but they have to be in the rhythm to score. For us to win, the defense will have to be in the middle, beginning and end of everything UTEP tries to do with the ball. I don't doubt that will happen. Miner Rush is basing his statements on what he saw for a few quarters all season, the assumptions most of us are taking into this game are based on what the defense has shown all season, even against Georgia.

Again, great interview and very good questions.

Does Miner Rush see strong parallels between DT and Dave Ragone? Quinton Porter? Shane Boyd? Sage Rosenfels?

Hiram Gonzalez?

Who not only is the last NT QB to have a 66% or better completion rate, he is also the all time NT leader in Passing TD's vs TCU.

Meant to ask this but I was being fired from the internet in another part of the Webs.

In creating these questions (in my study, with pipe in hand, hot cider at the ready, and the soothing sounds of pigeon mating calls on the Victrola) I was disappointed to learn that the SB Nation TAMU guys asked the best question of Miner Rush -- about getting handies on the Hill.

You win again Q.

Good interview, but there is no way in hell the UTEP offense puts up 27 points on us. They won't break double digits.

You don't hava to educate me on the legacy of Hiram "Ave Maria" Gonzalez. Caribbeangreen and I have gone above and beyond to preserve his memory forever in our hearts (/clutches tattoo.)

Not discussing the Texans or my disowned hometown.

I thought you took them back now that we claimed Rice as our own? Dwight Howard is going to be pissed.
