Does the Mormon mission rule come into this at all?

Once you first enroll in college as a full-time student (12 hours or more) you're eligibility clock begins and you have 5 school years to play 4 seasons (1 redshirt year). Mormon missions (missions in general) are one of the main exceptions and the one I can think of off the top of my head, since it's used the most.

It basically freezes the eligibility clock. Since most Mormon go on their mission when they're 19, some, like athletes, will not enroll full time (or at all) in college until after they got back.

It sounds like that the case with Denucci, since the article said he had 4 years left to play 3, going into last season (2013), when it was presumed at the time that he was going to Nevada. Now, if he sat out last year at Snow, he'd have 3 years left to play 3 seasons.

He should be eligible but we also thought another Snow College transfer (Justin Manu) was eligible last year.
