One prediction down. Time for Mcnulty to change positions.

A 2nd or 3rd teamer with some experience can be a valuable asset. I just hope that DW turns out to be the immediate superstar that many are projecting. Spring is going to be interesting.

seemed like things were heading this way... hope the kid finds what he's looking for and tears it up at the new place... i think it just turned out that QB was a surprisingly crowded position after Summer...

McNulty is still the lead dog heading into spring.

I can't remember. Did Mini Mac come in for a bit befor D-Will against Idaho?

If memory serves, no.

Disappointed I never got to see Brock play some meaningful time in one our home games that was well in hand. Other than handing the ball off a few times.

Good luck Brock.

Then I'd say D-Will (after recovery from his phantom injury) is certainly the lead dog.

I bet this is the case.

I have no faith in McNulty. If he's starting then I am pretty much lacking any faith in the new season.

Agree with Meangreener. MiniMac isn't the answer. Despite the successful season, I still don't have 100% confidence in Mac choosing a Qb.

That's Mac's biggest flaw. I trust Chico though with QBs...not so much Mac.

I don't understand the "oh, what might have been" replies. I read this to mean we could have been so much better with Berglund under center, yet none of us saw him play except in the spring game. I saw that game and while his athleticism was impressive, he didn't really impress me as a QB.

I wish BB well and hope he has found a home at Northern Colorado. I also agree with 86, get your degree Brock and best of luck.

This is where I am on it as well.

Northern Colorado graduates it's #1 and #2 QBs...from a squad that just went 1-11. There is only one other QB on the roster, and he was a redshirt freshman. I don't see how Berglund doesn't start there.

I feel bad for him, though, because Northern Colorado is a terrible football program with 10 consecutive losing seasons. This is a school Joe Glenn regularly took to the Division II playoffs in the 90s. They jumped up to I-AA/FCS competition in 2007; but, were already on their way down competitively.

I hope BB fairs well closer to his family and am glad he had a season to remember as part UNT's Historic Century team and Heart of Dallas Bowl Champions. I'm sure it is something he'll never forget. As far as the future of our QB's in this upcoming season... I trust the combined knowledge of our coaches. Once camps start, they will put the guy in there who will give us the best chance to win... Our job as fans is to support whoever it is at that time. Until then... all we can do is speculate. GO MEAN GREEN!!

A lot of people said they would lose faith in Mac if he kept DT as the starter. Aside from a couple of down games, he was still steady enough to get us one of the best seasons in school history. Yes, there were a lot of other factors that played into that, but he knew the offense well and was able to execute just fine. If 9-4 in our first season in a new conference is an example of what happens when some fans don't trust the coach, then that's fine by me.

Good luck to Brock, hope he gets a chance to turn things around at UNC in more ways than one.

Sad to see him go, but many predicted this. Good luck at NC, Mr.Berglund.

If only BB could have gotten under that paternal mentorship wing that DT had/has with Chico...

Oh to be downvoted for inside jokes with Oldguystudent.

Hahaha....

Out of high school, in the same class as Johnny Manziel, Bergland was ranked nationally as either just above or just below Manziel. When he was introduced last year at the signing event at Apogee, I think everyone expected the 2013 team was his to lead.

GO MEAN GREEN

One of the strangest chapters in the annals of Mean Green football with this BB story.

Almost similar to top ranked Dave Campbell's HS Football and 1977 #1 Texas HS recruit Milton Collins who (then) UNT HFC Hayden Fry signed on a snowy national signing date in February of the same year. Milton never did make the transition from Blooming Grove HS.

I feel sorry for these guys because you know they are as disappointed about all this as we and their parents are. Put yourselves in the shoes of the parents.

GMG!
