Not disputing whether he deserves it, but it is crazy to me that a man can get paid 35K a year to do a weekly radio appearance. And only during the season!

Heck I'll appear weekly during the entire calendar year for 20K and some post game at Fry St.

Just a way to protect UNT in case they have to fire JJ for some reason. Any amount not in the base salary doesn't have to be paid out in the unlikely event JJ is let go. Instead of a $300K base (random number), UNT pays JJ 265K base and 35k for the radio show.

Just a way to protect the school from a huge buyout.
