Possible to get to 4 with a win at Denver?

Yes, but it's not going to matter. The 4 seed will play the 5 seed in the 2nd round

So, if I have this straight, we play Denver on Sunday, then MTSU (assuming they win their 1st game) on Monday?

That's some heavy lifting.

Still possible we could play ULL in the SBC quarters, but they'd have to lose to ULM. I don't think it's possible for UALR to slide down to the 4, even if they lose to ASU.

so rest everyone except forrest, niko, and trey...let them play for 40 mins with the others sprinkled in at under 20 mins each...keep them fresh...time for a big push to the championship!

In my quick checking, looks like UALR wins tiebreakers over ULL and Denver. I think UALR is the #2 seed regardless.

Again... my quick glance at the tiebreakers. Could have missed something.

I don't think UALR wins tiebreakers over ULL.

I think they do.

1. They split the season series. Next tiebreaker.

2. Both would have identical 7-3 division records. Next tiebreaker.

3. Both lost to MTSU. UALR beat Denver twice. ULL was 1-1.

UALR wins tiebreaker.

Again, could be wrong.

UALR would already be division champs, but they aren't according to their board (they said a few days ago ULL still could win it), so I am not sure what the deal is.

And their bad announcers said on the broadcast that they would clinch with a win over UNT.

Don't think they have the tie breaker.

Ok I figured it out. If UALR & ULL tie, it would go down to who has the better record vs the 3rd place team in the West. So if we beat Denver , ULL would have the tie breaker and win the WEST

LaLa is the team I fear the most. They have already beaten us twice this year, a feat no one else has accomplished.

I think top to bottom they have more talent than anyone. I also think Marlin is the best coach in the league.

Marlin knows how to defend TMitch and play offense against him. Marlin schooled JJ twice on how it's done.

No...rarely disagree with you. We're better than them talent wise now. Just have to play our game & not get sucked into their bulls!@* like we have in the last two meetings. NO WAY they beat us thrice in 1 season. Bring on ULL!

Marlin is a good coach. I don't think it's BS.

We'd probably not face ULL until the conference final. In other words, it's so far off in the distance, it might as well be next season. We have a ton of work to do till any potential match-up with the Cajuns.

I am not worried at all about ULL right now.

I think 1-5 we have more talent than anyone. Its when u start talking 1-10 then teams like ULL & mtsu may have the advantage on us

Agreed. If JJ leaves, I would love to have him coach at UNT. Too bad that probably won't happen (Marlin wouldn't come here if JJ left for another job. Too much od a lateral move. Not wishing for JJ to leave).

Not if we move up to another conference ...

So did our win and USA's win lock up a 5 seed for us?

Or do we still need another win or another USA loss?

We've got it. We've got the tiebreaker on USA.

I stand corrected.

I probably shouldn't characterize it that way...more of an off the cuff comment. Marlin is a great coach and has definitley figured out how to defend our team. ULL plays hard inside and goes after Tony specifically. I just don't think that strategy works the third time in Hot Springs. I truly feel like we are the better team.

To NT03's point...I definitely agree. It's why it was imperative that we get a bye because depth is not a strength. That said, get to Monday in the tournament and anything can happen. Still like our chances.
