I wonder if we are getting any special unis for the bowl game

Special uniform? No. We might see an interesting combo between the green/black/white unis we have available.

No special uniform

Rick V said we had to buy all new sets of uniforms when we went to CUSA because SBC logo was embroided.

Plus we spent money on centennial uniform and black uniform.

He said a tweak to the uniform is possible.

My guess is a white SoW

No black uni for bowl game he said

Give this a listen when you get a chance. RV addresses this and many other issues.

I think it would be great if we went with our normal home or away uniform (which ever we are at the bowl game) with a white SOW on a Green helmet. I think most of the fan base would love it. Then next year we keep the dang SOW on the helmet! No more of the North Texas in text on a helmet ever again!

plain pants, black socks & black shoes would be a small step in the right direction

Black jock straps. No pads, shirts, pants, shoes, socks, and all that wussy stuff.

I guess we could go with white jock straps if we are the "away" team.

Black jocks with a throwback flying worm. Helmets are inconsequential with uni's like that.

What All black or the throwback Unis are my vote.

If we do go to HoD, we will be the visiting team...white jerseys.

How do they know who will be home and away?

I'm a HUGE fan of our white jerseys with green pants. Put a white SOW on the normal helmets and that's a clean look.

I believe it's part of the deal for the "B1G" (or those taking that spot) team per HoD agreement with the conference to be home team. Typical I believe of these sorts of lesser conference vs AQ relationships at bowls.

I wouldn't expect SOW on the helmet for a bowl game. The exposure is too great and we all know how RV wants to position us as North Texas. I doubt he would pass up that opportunity. (I would be pleasantly surprised if SOW did make a helmet appearance but I just don't think it will.)

I would wager we will see a nice HOD patch sewn onto our jersey somewhere.

RV said on the podcast we could see a changed helmet, just not a change in jersey.

By far my favorite uniform combo we have right now! And I agree with the white SOW

We are already getting exposure by playing in the game. Everyone will know when they check the guide for who is playing or tune into the game who North Texas is. The best thing to do is set up a new era with this exposure with the SOW on the helmet. It looks better and the GMG fans (the ones who matter) want that. The association with North Texas and the SOW will be made by all watching.

Visiting teams aren't required to wear white jerseys. If the opponent wears, say, a red jersey there's nothing stopping us from wearing green or black. The only requirement is that the colors sufficiently contrast.

I never understood why we couldn't just put North Texas above the numbers on the jerseys? I know they have Mean Green there but I would be willing to give that up to have a white eagle on the helmet.

We can. Go back and look at the Dodge jerseys. Oh wait...maybe that's why we can't.
