Black Uniforms, Coincidence or the Power of GMG

I think a lot of "original" ideas from Bonnie Brae originate on GMG.

To be honest, besides being black and green they are not that similar.

Yeah, there's a similarity, but I'd give the actual ones a 6/10 and 3XLs a 9/10.

The helmet alone gets 2 extra points.

Anyone notice the similarity of the new black unis to the unis 3XL designed last summer?

black w green outline on the numbers, green sleeves, green belt.

Add a black facemask and black shoes and its almost identical.

So, coincidence or did 3XL and GMG influence the powers that be?

Hey, if that was the inspiration I'm not complaining at all. I loved the look and hope we see it more. Has anyone asked RV about that? Mac made some off hand comment in the presser today about the uniforms and it sounded like we would be back with the regular uniforms for Homecoming.

It was a "Halloween Alternate" uniform. It was not intended to be a regular uniform. I expect the return to the regular home uniform that NT has used under Mac.

I think GMG.com has power and influence...at least they seem a little in tune. RV was against the acronym (UNT) not the SOW, per se. I'm sure he is OK since they won. USA! USA! USA!
