(1) You can play your true freshman year. (Let me repeat: You can play your true freshman year).

(2) Head Football Coach Dan McCarney, a self-admitted disciple of former Mean Green HFC & College Football Hall of Famer Hayden Fry. Much was expected of Coach Mac his first year in Denton and his first Mean Green team almost became bowl elgible. The trend indicators and arrows all point north.

(3) Apogee Stadium: You (yes............"YOU") can be the reason we have to expand what former Dallas Cowboys Super Scout Gil Brandt called "a real Taj Mahal of a college football stadium" to 40,000 seats.

The First Ever TD Scored At UNT's Apogee Stadium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtBKaoXmTe0

(4) North Texas has 208,000 NT Exes living in the DFW Metroplex--more than any other single Texas-based university by a country mile. Might those kind of UNT connections help in your job search after you graduate; that is, if you're not playing in the NFL?

(5) Have you seen the co-eds at the University of North Texas? B)

Your number 1 reason should get many recruits attention. A true freshman has a good chance to play at North Texas. And your number 3 reason best demonstrates it. The video is of Andrew McNulty, a true freshman, scoring the first touchdown at the brand new Apogee Stadium. Now, we need some true freshmen to score the NEXT touchdown at Apogee Stadium.

And Roadruner is right.

Lest we all forget and as of now having no idea how many star'ed recruits from Rivals we will end up with tomorrow; but the one thing that always impressed me about Boise State's recruiting classes as they were building to becoming a BCS bowl buster kind of football program was just how their recruiting classes were highly, most notably and largely....unheralded or noticed by the national college sports media. (Anyone else think Boise State had football coaches who knew how to evaluate the very talent that Rivals Recruiting Service totally ignored)?

Plum – you are seeing very clearly now – Coach Mac, that Mean Green Man will take us to that Promised Land – he has a cool head and a keen eye.

Here is a quote from big John - “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. It comes to us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.”

Coach Mac and his staff have had a lot of yesterdays in coaching and will make this a bright tomorrow with this great recruiting class regardless of what any .com rating source says.

Come to the recruiting meeting early so you can see the new wind turbines in the daylight.

Least we forget, the first UNT touchdown scored at Apogee was against the University of Houston.
