Sept. 1 -- at LSU (Loss)

Sept. 8 -- Texas Southern (Win)

Sept. 15 -- at Kansas State (Loss)

Sept. 22 -- Troy* (Win)

Sept. 29 -- at Florida Atlantic* (Win)

Oct. 6 -- at Houston Win (only with everyone healthy)

Oct. 16 -- Louisiana-Lafayette* (Loss)

Oct. 27 -- at Middle Tennessee* (Win)

Nov. 3 -- Arkansas State* (Homecoming) (Loss)

Nov. 10 -- South Alabama* (Win)

Nov. 17 -- at Louisiana-Monroe* (Win)

Nov. 24 -- at Western Kentucky* (Loss)

Going with 7-5 and that puts us at 6 FBS wins and hence bowl eligible. Say we do lose Houston... we could still beat either WKU or maybe even Ark St. to offset the FBS loss.

I know there is alot of excitement around UNT right now. My son signed a month ago. He expects 9 - 10 wins. He

took several of his jr class mates from Martin to the jr day this past Saturday. Said there was standing room only in the terrace club at Apogee.

Glad to have you trussbussdad. That's excellent news about the jr day too! Just out of curiosity, was there any talk or whispers about conference movement at said event?

8-4 - 2 games of improvement...with a harder out of conference schedule.

I think we win all but 1(4 - 1) home game(ark st), and we go 4 - 3 on the road.

Huge step forward this season. Can't Wait!

Yes, and the team of seniors from FIU and U-LaLa that beat of last year were primarily 2-star recruits coming in, proving how ridiculous some of these ratings can be. With all due respect to both teams, we should not be afraid to play anyone in this conference.

Who said anything about being afraid? FIU's 44 3 stars and 1 4 star trumps our 21 3 stars over the last 4 years. They are a more talented team than us right now and you don't need rivals to prove it - last years game was some pretty good evidence. I'm not saying we couldn't beat them although I don't like our chances. I'll say it again, playing South Alabama instead of FIU is huge for us next year. We have a VERY favorable schedule next year from a win/loss standpoint.

Green Crazy,

I did not go, but a friend of mine from Kennendale took his boy and said there were whispers....tease. Lot of what I see has us going to the Conf USA alliance.

Two things that really bother me about college football right now:

1 - all the coaching changes (20% of D1 coaches changed schools this past year)

2 - conf realignments never stop...will never stop till there is a playoff system

The schedule is very favorable despite the fact that the OOC is horrible. If only we could switch 2013's OOC with this year we could win 10 games. I think 5 wins should be expected, 6 would be good, and 7 being the ceiling. I think 6 wins is highly probable, but we could drop a game or two we shouldn't. We'll see how RB looks in the spring.
