We led around 27 minutes of the game, Irvine for about seven with the remainder being tied. Even though the Anteaters may have dominated statistically sans turnovers, we were definitely not whipped. They didn't even really lead until the last ten minutes in the contest.

No budget talk? Disappointed. -
ask @DeepGreen
-
I'm not sure what you mean....elaborate...
-
I mean...I feel the same about you, but at least no one to this point has brought up 19 year old's tits, so maybe we just walk away amicably?
-
Now you're just being an idiot.
-
69-67. more great points, bruh.

I immediately thought of the Haggerty prayer v. Memphis

t’s gonna get much uglier in the future. The administration is mad at how the 2% has stirred up the media and made them look like the apathetic idiots they are for UNT sports. They’ll get some more revenge in the years ahead. -
our mediocre, no championship-winning coach just got hired UP in the college sports world and most of you don't know what to do because 98% of your fandom is seemingly centered around water cooler talks with your Horn/Aggie/Raider/Bear/Mustang/Frog co-workers, and the feelings of inadequacy you feel toward your rather mid Alma Mater's sports history always well to the surface and cloud perspective and as such you've never learned to just enjoy the successful basketball we've had since 2017... so finally, that era is over. I was initially a bit ambivalent on the Robinson hire, but the more I've dug the more I like the pick and think at worst he is a good continuity hire to continue our upward trajectory as a basketball program as likely would've been the case had Hodge stayed another season, we're going to be looking at a brand new roster for the '25-26 season yet again. just the nature of the beast. wanna complain about it? fine, I guess...but last I checked ESPN+ isn't putting a gun to your head to watch these games. so, what do we have so far? 3 CSU transfers: - Je'Shawn Stevenson - G - 6'2" 200 - Soph - starting guard/6th man potential - Dylan Arnett - F - 6'9" 240 - Sr - likely starter at the 4/5 - Reece Robinson - F - 6'8" 225 -Soph - 15-20 minutes/game reserve Possible Retunees, Known Commodities: - Brennan Lorient - F - 6'9" 215 - Sr - imma set it at 25/75 at best that B-Lo is back...he's done enough to get paid more than UNT can offer - Jasper Floyd - G - 6'3" 195 - Sr - 50/50? I like him and want him back, but I would think WVU fans would be under-whlemed dropping a ship on him next year - Grant Newell - F - 6'9" 220 - Sr - he's maddening, sure...but he fills a role here and given the Chicago connect, I bet he's back Possible Returnees, Unknowns: - Tyran Mason - G - 6'6" 195 - RS-Fr - hope he stays, I guess? - Brock Vice - F - 6'10" 240 - Soph - gotta think he either stays or Hodge had a plan for him and brings him to WVU...I see little middle ground here - Alex Cotton -G - 6'5" 200 - So/Jr(?) - two years here and no PT likely means a transfer down...best of luck in the SoCon - Baron Smith - F - 6'9" 220 - Fr - just on the eyeball test at shoot-around in Phili, we could do worse for a prospect...wouldn't be disappointed if he stayed Incoming Recruits: - DJ Thomas - F - 6'7" 210- Fr - I've seen their game described differently, but I'd be happy if either he or Mason stuck for next year...they're probably filling a similar roll - Cahmai Crosby - 6'3" 180 - Soph - solid JUCO numbers...looks like a role player...happy if he's a contributor next season, but won't lose sleep if he never steps foot on campus Recruitment Needs: - #1 lead scoring guard - we need 15ppg ideally from a winning D1 program walking through the door - starting center - I would love someone who makes either Arnett or Newell our reserve 4/5...both if B-Lo happens to stay - starting PG - I mean, in an ideal world Floyd stays, but is our swing guard and we add a dynamic PG - 6'5"-ish wings - can never have too many

I feel like the Hohn 3 pointer as the shot clock was expiring with about 3-4 minutes left was the dagger. Similar to the prayer 3 pointer by UAB in the conference tournament. When shots like that fall for you, it’s just your night.

I’ll bet this has the WV fans excited.

We’re all aware that the other (32 win) team is trying to win the game too, right? We hurt ourselves at times, no doubt, but credit the Irvine shooters for hitting big shots. They hit ‘em in clutch moments and we didn’t. Having a 7fter that shoots ~ 83% from the FT line is such a luxury. He’s a tough matchup. Saw no issues with UNT’s desire or effort. We lost the game straight up.
-
But either way. Bye Ross. The biggest win that UC Irvine had this year was UAB. I get that they won over 30 games but our choke in the late part of the first half feeding into the second half is inexcusable. That's a team that knows that they have no future together. Thanks to Wren Baker and co. for releasing the information that he was going to WVU during the middle of our tournament.

F. Come on Jared you have to be on top of this! Be relentless about your highly visible incredibly important slice of the university. You know business you know marketing. You know naysayers and roadblocks. You know it’s more than a coach that receives incredible recognition. It’s risk taking. It’s looking fear in the face because once you do that fear disappears. It’s gone. Demand the best for your athletics and people will fill your stadiums and arena. Get in their face tell them what you need and get this university the Athletic profile it deserves and has earned. GMG -
Still have at least four audacity North Texas glasses in my household rotation. Not the greatest beer but I certainly appreciated their love for UNT.
-
You imply that it was a tightly contested ball game... It really wasn't. They shot nearly 50% from the field vs our 34%. We had 21 more attempts at the basket than them due to them having 17 freaking turnovers to our 5. Rebounding was about even....they doubled us up on assists (18-9) which suggests they had ua chasing, and we often were. Every metric here suggests that they are superior than us. It felt like we got our ass whipped... but lost by 2. Their carelessness with the basketball prevented this from being a true 10-15 point ass whippin'.
-
Their gold crash is pretty dang amazing. But you’re right, I miss armadillo and audacity
-
Totally prepared to get blasted for this, but it is something that has always drove me nuts. Cle State would be considered a lesser program and play in a lesser conference, no? They performed at an above average level, not winning the conf or advancing beyond a few rounds of CBI. Wouldnt there be concern for bringing in a slew of players, that played in that system, in a lesser league, against lesser talent, with mid to moderate results? I’m not necessarily knocking the players, but the mentality of “I hope he brings XYZ players with him”. If they couldn’t dominate the Horizon, how are they going to fare in the AAC?
-
I'm met those guys for the first time at Great American beer festival in Denver... Super nice guys but their beer is definitely not Armadillo
-
*emotional post, I’ll feel better tomorrow* If he hasn’t moved out yet, I’d make sure he has a six pack of Denton County Brewing in the fridge with a sticky note that says “Thank you for 8 years of service. Now get the h*ll out.”

Ross doesn't have to deal with Fajitas anymore
-
Thanks for your opinion. No I obviously was not feeling that way when NT was up by 15. However, the rest of the game were Cal Irvine won by 60-43; I did not think NT looked like the game meant a lot to them. I have no idea what your last sentence means, other than you chose to insult NT fans.
