  1. Past hour
  2. Hard to do anything when a kid isn't given an opportunity to play. Hodge screwed all the guys on the bench. Well, at least they gave Stone able time over his career to prove he wasn't an option.
  3. Y'all are hating pretty hard on a redshirt freshman. 0-2 from 3 but his shot was smooth. Didn't get many opportunities.
  4. Today
  5. The way conferences are realigned now simplicity is an attribute and at the mid major level I applaud this commissioner’s attempting to innovate. We could use some of that spirit in our athletics department, as I was astounded that we only approached one candidate for the BB position. In the latest issue of the alumni magazine the new Pres brags about having nearly half million alumni. All that says to me is that you continue to do a pitiful job of reaching any of them consistently
  6. Yesterday
  7. An absolute non factor, which says a lot for a seven footer.
  8. Well we are close to the American Gulf so there's that.
  9. We played basketball into April for the first time ever this season!
  10. Hodge said he focused on recruiting winners. Are you disputing this?
  11. Isn't this why at basketball games we are announced as Denton America? We play in America's Conference: The American.
  12. Didn't you know already that they are just a bunch of losers.
  13. Sounds like UTSA faces similar problems as we experienced during luncheon-gate. Here we are again. Another weekend, another wave of tweets questioning whether UTSA Football is doing enough to grow its brand and bring the city of San Antonio into the fold. It’s becoming a recurring theme in Roadrunner circles: passionate fans voicing concern about how the program is being positioned—and marketed—within one of the country’s largest cities. This isn’t some sudden uproar. For the past 12 to 18 months, there's been a steady hum of frustration around attendance numbers, season ticket trends, and a lack of visible buzz surrounding the team. And while the recent decision to forego the annual spring game didn’t start the conversation, it certainly added to the sentiment that more could be done to build momentum during the offseason. But here’s the thing: marketing college football isn't as simple as tweeting out a graphic or handing out some free T-shirts. Let's Talk Context UTSA Football has the fourth-largest X (formerly Twitter) following in the American Athletic Conference, with 104.9k followers — trailing only USF (172k), Army (125k), and ECU (114k). That’s ahead of historic programs like Navy, Memphis, and Temple. So clearly, people are paying attention. The issue isn’t awareness. It’s ENGAGEMENT. Getting San Antonio—a massive city with no NFL team and deep high school football roots—fully behind UTSA should be a slam dunk. But in reality, it’s a grind. And UTSA’s athletic department is doing that grinding with limited resources and a long chain of approvals for anything public-facing. Want to launch a campaign? It might need to clear several layers of admin, marketing, and legal before it ever reaches the public. Want to try something experimental on social? Hope it aligns with broader university policies. 14. Some may have been encouraged to leave.
  15. 110% agree that losing Mason will be a major regret !
  16. Concerns are 31% from 3, turnover prone and his team was not very good.
  17. Those were their ratings out of HS.
  18. I think I saw him play once and he went 0-2 from the three point line
  19. Being a stepping stone basketball program that's playing meaningful basketball into March every year is 10x better than being a dead end like the football program not having a HC hired away in almost 50 years.
  20. I'm not at all surprised that we will be rebuilding the entire roster from scratch.
  21. Super! If our coaches move out and up every 3 years we can fund our NIL. [sarcasm or realism? ]
  22. I know there are other individual threads, but though maybe we could just consolidate them all. 247 shows Vice, Howell, Newell, Cotton, Smith and Lorient as in the portal https://247sports.com/college/north-texas/season/2025-basketball/transferportal/?institutionkey=24114 Verbal commits shows all of these and Tyran Mason. I think we will really regret not playing Mason. https://verbalcommits.com/schools/north-texas
  23. Howell, Cotton, Vice, Smith Jr. and Newell per 247 Sports. I find it interesting the Vice and Cotton were rated higher than Newell. I would have like to have seen Cotton play more, but obviously Hodge had a reason not to. https://247sports.com/season/2025-basketball/transferportal/
  24. Opps.Well I knew there was one point involved. My bad. However with the home court advantage against Troy it could of been us in the final. Oh well....
  25. Troy lost by one to Buffalo.
  26. Just asking, but can this money go to our basketball NIL? I know the NIL is coming in house soon but have no particulars. [Note: this is not sarcasm].
