Called his predecessors McCasland and Hodge, so my guess will be Robinson.

Just keeps getting more ridiculous.

Irvine also missed a ton of free throws that might have put the game away earlier. They were a great free throw shooting team all year, but tonight shot under 70 percent.
-
Yes, basically missed a wide open layup to win in OT. Irvine will remember this ending for a long time. Chattanooga also made a 3-pt half-court shot at the halftime buzzer. Our loss was tough for our fans; this will be very difficult for the Irvine fans not to think "what if".

Wow, what a crazy ending. The Irvine kid missed what amounted to a layup at the buzzer to lose by one. Gotta use glass.
-
Ouch! A missed bunny for UC Irvine for a chance to win.

Great final - going to overtime. Even though there are obviously a lot of empty seats, I feel like both schools have more fans than on Tuesday.

Hodge wanted to set us up for success

When do you not expect kudos? -
I can see this being problematic. What stops a school like Texas from paying a coach $20 million per year with the expanding the coach donates half to the NIL?

Your weak comparison would make sense if I had expected kudos for finishing my last shift there. -
I knew this had to happen as coaches and ADs etc are making way too much money not to help. UTEP coach is throwing on 70k!

When hasn’t it been this way? Hayden Fry left because nobody cared enough around here and he knew it. He left and we didn’t even make it 5 years before the administration tried to get football to die off by dropping us down for 12 years. -

Speed of the Captain, speed of the crew. This seemingly lack of caring or zero effort by our new Athletic Director falls on the guy that was responsible for hiring Wren’s replacement. -

Agree. I also want more accountability over Luncheon-gate! Jared and the Prez refuse to take any responsibility over that fiasco. Also why has no one been fired over that? In the private sector heads would have rolled. -

I bet the lunch gate was the last straw and said, ok go ahead and make the announcement. Rather than after the NIT tournament. -

Anybody badmouthing Hodge is really stretching for a reason to not like the man. -
We need a strong leader to Unite the UNiTe masses. Someone to provide more marketing, communication and get more students, city and alums to games. With Luncheon-gate and Thin Wren hawking Ross before the NIT was over, it left a bad taste with fan's. Unless the Prez and AD find new personalities I don't see much change around campus for next Fall.

NT80 replied to Tommy Gadberry's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I think Newell improved greatly on the defensive side and toughness at the rim side, from where he started the season. His downfall is being out of control with the ball, lack of scoring down low and missed free throws. But 6-9 gets a scholarship most places, including UNT. I'm fine with him back on the roster, but would like to compare 6-9 options for being a starter. -

NT80 replied to NT80's topic in Conference ReAlignment
UTA is already in this situation.....no football and the WAC may disband, leaving them on the hunt again for another conference that doesn't require members to have football.

Reality of becoming a G5 program: How the end of the Pac-12 Conference is hurting Pullman’s economy
Wazzu sucked in every major sport and was only drawing 25k a game despite playing a Pac 12 schedule. Why should they continue to be included?
